Home screen shortcut
One tap from your home screen or taskbar — no browser URL bar.
Works offline
All 12 tools work without an internet connection after the first install.
Always up-to-date
The app updates automatically in the background, just like a website.
iOS — Safari
Apple only allows PWA installs through Safari. If you’re using Chrome or Firefox on iOS, switch to Safari first.
iPhone & iPad
iOS 16.4+ · Safari required
Open Safari and go to isavepdf.com
Make sure you're in Safari — the PWA install option isn't available in Chrome or Firefox on iOS.
Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen
It looks like a box with an arrow pointing up (). On iPad it’s at the top of the screen, next to the address bar.
"Add to Home Screen"
Scroll down in the Share sheet until you see "Add to Home Screen." Tap it.
Confirm the name and tap Add
You can rename the shortcut if you like. Tap "Add" in the top-right corner. The iSavePDF icon will appear on your home screen.
Open from the home screen once to finish setup
The first launch downloads the offline cache. After that, every tool works without a connection.
Android — Chrome
Chrome on Android shows an automatic install banner when you visit iSavePDF. You can also install it manually at any time.
Android
Chrome 73+ · any Android device
Open Chrome and go to isavepdf.com
Chrome may automatically show an 'Add to Home screen' banner at the bottom of the page. Tap it to install immediately.
Or: tap the three-dot menu
Tap the menu in the top-right corner of Chrome.
"Add to Home screen" or "Install app"
Tap "Add to Home screen" (older Chrome) or "Install app" (newer Chrome). Confirm in the dialog that appears.
Find iSavePDF on your home screen
The app icon will appear on your home screen or in your app drawer. It opens without the Chrome toolbar, just like a native app.
Desktop — Chrome, Edge, or Brave
On desktop, Chrome, Edge, and Brave all support PWA install. Firefox and Safari on macOS do not currently support PWA install.
Windows & macOS
Chrome · Edge · Brave
Go to isavepdf.com in Chrome, Edge, or Brave
Look for the install icon in the browser's address bar — it looks like a monitor with a download arrow.
Click the install icon in the address bar
It’s a small icon on the right side of the address bar. If you don’t see it, open the browser menu (⋮) and look for “Install iSavePDF” or “Install as app.”
Click Install in the confirmation dialog
iSavePDF opens in its own window without browser chrome. A shortcut is added to your taskbar, start menu, or dock.
Use it like any desktop app
You can pin it to your taskbar. It works offline. It updates itself silently in the background.
Common questions
Does installing iSavePDF use storage?
Yes, a small amount — around 2–5 MB for the app shell and offline cache. This lets all 12 tools work without an internet connection.
I don't see "Add to Home Screen" in Safari.
Make sure you're on iOS 16.4 or later. On older iOS, the option exists but doesn't install a true PWA — it just creates a shortcut that opens a browser tab. Update iOS if you can.
Can I install iSavePDF on multiple devices?
Yes. Install it on as many devices as you like. Each install is independent — there's no account, no sync, nothing shared between devices.
How do I uninstall it?
Same as any app. On iOS: long-press the icon → Remove App. On Android: long-press → Uninstall. On desktop: right-click the taskbar icon → Uninstall, or find it in your OS app list.
Does it work on Firefox?
Firefox on Android supports PWA install via the address bar menu. Firefox on desktop and iOS does not currently support PWA install — use Chrome or Edge on desktop, Safari on iOS.
